The Beverly is a mixed-use project located in the heart of Portland’s historic Hollywood District. High-impact retailers Whole Foods and Chase dominate the ground floor, activating the entire block. The apartments perch atop 48,000 sq. ft. of retail and an additional 3 floors of parking —creating a private urban retreat with city views from each unit. The Beverly boasts a spacious interior courtyard with dining areas, grills, fire pits and a community garden. Built with condo caliber construction, the apartments feature full tiling in the bathrooms, wool carpeting in the bedrooms and cabinet faced energy-star appliances in the kitchen.

As a LEED Silver building, The Beverly features energy efficient lighting throughout. The annual energy savings from efficient building systems is enough to power 32 homes. Onsite composting and green cleaning supplies are used throughout the project.

GEM oversaw over $1 million in capital improvements at the property, including garage resurfacing, exterior staining and landscape redesign. To provide sustained market appeal, GEM oversaw the conversion of a vacant retail shell into a resident gym. In addition to capital improvements, GEM also rebranded The Beverly and manages complex budgeting processes for retail and residential reporting to an institutional investor.
