Director of Property Management
Julia Albano is responsible for Gerding Edlen's Property Management Division—a separate, wholly owned subsidiary known as Gerding Edlen Management (GEM). GEM is responsible for multi-family, mixed-use and commercial assets across all management classes. Well versed in market intelligence, marketing and leasing, Julia excels in asset positioning. While supervising management personnel and day-to-day operations, she also specializes in acquisitions, predevelopment and design consulting and sustainable management practices.
Prior to joining Gerding Edlen, Julia worked with multiple real estate firms overseeing national acquisitions, dispositions and operations of residential properties, as well as lease-up of mixed-use properties in the Pacific Northwest. Julia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Portland State University. Julia resides on industry sustainability committees and holds her Oregon Real Estate License.
Jenna Dowding oversees all stabilized properties in the greater Portland area. Jenna joined Gerding Edlen Management in 2011 and supervises the day-to-day operations of all mixed-use and commercial properties. Jenna specializes in financial management and directs all budgeting for the portfolio. She is also responsible for standardizing management protocols and rolling out technology initiatives. Jenna also plays an integral role in the acquisitions and dispositions of all GEM assets.
Prior to joining Gerding Edlen, Jenna worked for The Irvine Company and oversaw multiple residential assets across the Southern California region. Jenna holds an Associates of Arts degree from Saddleback College.
Lease-Up Manager and Marketing Coordinator
Aimee Joseph is responsible for overseeing lease-ups in the Portland market. She has been in management with Gerding Edlen since 2011, overseeing both Class-A stabilized and new assets. Experienced in property setup and sales, she specializes in communications, ensuring that lease-ups progress swiftly and successfully. During lease-up Aimee supervises all staff, leasing and operational activities. She excels at establishing resident culture through exceptional customer service and extensive programming. Well versed in project management, branding and market intelligence, Aimee provides operational and design consulting throughout development to ensure projects achieve the strongest market impact.
Prior to joining Gerding Edlen, Aimee worked with Prometheus Real Estate Group, in addition to other industry firms. While at Gerding Edlen, she oversaw the lease-up of The Janey, and presided over the property as it led rents in the urban core for three years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Oregon State University.
Jay Judd oversees facility operations and maintenance for the entire GEM portfolio. His team handles preventive, routine and corrective maintenance. Jay also supervises all capital expenditure work at each of the assets. Safety, sustainability and customer satisfaction are the hallmarks of his approach.
Prior to joining Gerding Edlen, Jay worked as Facility Manager at OHSU, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Vibra Specialty Hospital and Vestas American Wind Technologies. Jay is a U.S. Army veteran and LEED AP with over 20 years’ experience in Facilities and administration.
